Broccolini was created in Japan as a cross between broccoli and Chinese broccoli. While it has a similar appearance as broccoli, broccolini’s florets are much smaller.
The flavor is also a little sweeter than broccoli and is similar to asparagus.
Broccolini is a good source of fiber, vitamin A, manganese, and calcium.
